PDA-ku (XDA Zinc) baterei-nya soak… di pake 4 jam kudu charge lagi (padahal cuma standby belum buat call), kalo ada incoming call 1 jam mati kali… yo wis solusi akhirnya pinjam Telpon Plat Merah…. Adanya Handphone Item Lumayan agak gede (mirip Nokia E61) namanya juga aneh MotoQ8 (montok kali ya )), pertama kali pake…. Grhfhghghg Aneh bin Kumeh…Nih Pictnya….

Android – Gphone Next Opensource Application Foundation

Android is a software stack for mobile devices that includes an operating system, middleware and key applications. This early look at the Android SDK provides the tools and APIs necessary to begin developing applications on the Android platform using the Java programming language.

The following diagram shows the major components of the Android operating
system. Each section is described in more detail below.

Applications

Android will ship with a set of core applications including an email client, SMS program, calendar, maps, browser, contacts, and others. All applications are written using the Java programming language.

Application Framework

Developers have full access to the same framework APIs used by the core applications. The application architecture is designed to simplify the reuse of components; any application can publish its capabilities and any other application may then make use of those capabilities (subject to security constraints enforced by the framework). This same mechanism allows components to be replaced by the user.

Underlying all applications is a set of services and systems, including:

• A rich and extensible set of Views that can be used to build an application, including lists, grids, text boxes, buttons, and even an embeddable web browser
• Content Providers that enable applications to access data from other applications (such as Contacts), or to share their own data
• A Resource Manager, providing access to non-code resources such as localized strings, graphics, and layout files
• A Notification Manager that enables all applications to display custom alerts in the status bar
• An Activity Manager that manages the lifecycle of applications and provides a common navigation backstack

Libraries

Android includes a set of C/C++ libraries used by various components of the Android system. These capabilities are exposed to developers through the Android application framework. Some of the core libraries are listed below:

Android Runtime

Android includes a set of core libraries that provides most of the functionality available in the core libraries of the Java programming language.

Every Android application runs in its own process, with its own instance of the Dalvik virtual machine. Dalvik has been written so that a device can run multiple VMs efficiently. The Dalvik VM executes files in the Dalvik Executable (.dex) format which is optimized for minimal memory footprint. The VM is register-based, and runs classes compiled by a Java language compiler that have been transformed into the .dex format by the included “dx” tool.

The Dalvik VM relies on the Linux kernel for underlying functionality such as threading and low-level memory management.

Linux Kernel

Android relies on Linux version 2.6 for core system services such as security, memory management, process management, network stack, and driver model. The kernel also acts as an abstraction layer between the hardware and the rest of the software stack.

My New Engine 2007 – IBM X40

Now i come with refurbished laptop again but with small size and more power inside… , but actually the engine is lower than before (R40). /me buy at Mall Ambasaddor with high hunting 7 days before… my reason to change engine is my little brother at ITB need engine for Final Project reason. Hehehehe the other reason is how to make my work + other work is can flow both office and home (so pity ;p)….

/me buy this engine is 2nd hand from the store at Ambasaddor Mall (Ocean Computer), and /me get the fine price is around $US 550. With major spec :

• Intel Pentium Centrino 1GHz
• Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP 1
• DDR1 512 MB
• HDD 40 GB
• 2 USB Port
• 1 SD Card Reader

Damn… Mbok yo dari dulu yo… bikin agreement kok lama amit accountku satu ini, gpp sih agak2 di marahin si bos sih tapi is OK, finnaly Telkomsel will get many license International TV. USSD – Unstructured Sumplentery Services Data

Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) is a technology unique to GSM. It is a capability built into the GSM standard for support of transmitting information over the signaling channels of the GSM network. USSD provides session-based communication, enabling a variety of applications.

Technology

USSD is defined within the GSM standard in the documents GSM 02.90 (USSD Stage 1) and GSM 03.90 (USSD Stage 2).

Key attributes:

* USSD is instead session oriented, unlike SMS, which is a store-and-forward, transaction-oriented technology.

* Turnaround response times for interactive applications are shorter for USSD than SMS because of the session-based feature of USSD, and because it is NOT a store and forward service.

* Users do not need to access any particular phone menu to access services with USSD- they can enter the Unstructured Supplementary Services Data (USSD) command direct from the initial mobile phone screen.

* USSD commands are routed back to the home mobile network’s Home Location Register (HLR), allowing for the virtual home environment concept – the ability for services (based on USSD in this case) to work just as well and in exactly the same way when users are roaming.

* Unstructured Supplementary Services Data (USSD) works on all existing GSM mobile phones.

* Both SIM Application Toolkit and the Wireless Application Protocol support USSD.

My 2nd PDA [XDA Zinc 02]

Ke belakang lagi membahas gadget-gadget yang udah pernah ta beli n ta coba. Coba kita bahas my 2nd PDA yaitu XDA Zinc…. PDA keluaran O2 manufacture ini pertama kali muncul di indonesia di bulan februari.. nah pada bulan itu juga pas ada rejeki lebih juga + PDA lamaku sering2 hang (restart sendiri trus data hilang semua – HP 6365). Langsung ke Bandung Electronic Center (BEC) di O2 center nanya2 harga + PDA yang bisa slide side. Trus akhirnya kuputuskan untuk membelinya di PDA center di lantai 4. Ya bisa diliat lah harganya yang wow itu menguras cukup banyak kocekku… tapi gpp yang penting ada gunanya n bisa mengirit untuk tidak belanja HP 2 tahun mendatang.

Paling ga yang enak dari PDA model slide side ini adalah tombol qwerty-na yang pas banget ama ukuran jari orang Indonesia. pas banget kayaknya kalo jadi programmer n ada editor code pasti aku pake nih Zinc ;-p (mimpi kaleee).
